Sterling Script Lines - S4: Episode 6
1) Danny: The cure for the common chair. That's Roger's favorite. Roger Sterling - the guy I shook hands with when I came in.
2) Roger, to Don about Danny: I told him to be himself. That was pretty mean, I guess. 3) Roger, to Don in flashback: I have a unique problem. I need to spend a lot, but be careful not to spend too much. Don: Can I assume this is some sort of an apology? Roger: No, I know what that costs. 4) Joan, to Roger in flashback, after receiving the fur coat: When I wear it, I'll think of everything that happened the night I got it. 5) What do you want to drink? Don: Make it simple, but significant. 6) Peggy: Have you been yelled at by Don yet? Stan: I'm not scared of him. Peggy: So that's a no. 7) Lane: Ken is proven. He's hungry. He has accounts - Birds Eye, a beverage called Mountain Dew. Fillmore Auto Parts. He would more than pay for himself. Does that put you at ease? Pete: What would put me at ease is you and Madame Defarge not plotting behind my back! 8) Don: What do you say we get outta here and really celebrate? Faye: I think you're confusing a lot of things at once right now. 9) Stan, to Peggy: Of course not that! Do you think he'd be caught dead with you? There's wallpaper more exciting. But I know you're his favorite. I bet he takes you hunting and lets you carry carcasses in your mouth. Peggy: Are you just gonna stare at pictures of women who can't stare back? 10) Stan: What are you doing? Peggy, undressing: You're lazy, and you have no ideas. Stan: Really. Peggy: Yeah, let's go. Stan: You're a fruitcake, you know that. Peggy: And you're chickenshit. I can work like this. Let's get liberated. 11) Don, about accidentally selling Danny's line to Life Cereal: Think of ten more tags. Peggy: No, I've been working all weekend with that pig in that stupid hotel room. I am tapped out. Don: What hotel room? 12) Don, to Miss Blankenship: Good morning. Call The Pen and Pencil and see if someone found my award. Miss Blankenship: What's the category? Don: Best actress. |

Things We Should Have Said
- When Faye turns Don down at the Clios after-party, she straightens his tie. Rachel Menken spot cleans Don's tie when they are having lunch, right before they get together - it's an interesting callback to have that intimate gesture with both characters, who first reject but ultimately sleep with Don, and who would each likely be a healthy partner to Don if he were not married and not dealing with alcoholism and a hefty identity crisis.
