2) Stephanie: I'm not political. I just don't understand who's in charge. Don: You are. Trust me. I work in advertising. Stephanie: It's pollution. Don: So stop buying things. 3) Anna: Oh, Dick. I'm sorry she broke your heart. Don: I had it coming. 4) Stephanie: Nobody knows what's wrong with themselves. Everyone else can see it right away. 5) Anna: I know everything about you, and I still love you. 6) Patty: You have no say in the affairs of this family. You're just a man in a room with a checkbook. I'm sorry. 7) Lane: What exactly did Mrs. Harris' note say? Sandra: It said 'Joan, forgive me. Lane.' Joan: You're fired. Go get your things. You'll be paid through the end of the year. (She goes) Lane (yelling): Those instructions you understood! 8) Greg: Everything's gonna be okay. Joan: When? Greg: Joanie. I can't fix anything else, but I can fix this. 9) Lane, to Don: You remind me of a chap I knew in school. We followed him around in a pack. He didn't notice we were there. 10) Lane: We're not homosexuals - we're divorced! Don: Don't. Comedian: Oh, man, now they're gonna fight in the car all the way home. Why did you provoke the comedian? |

Things We Should Have Said
- We talked about Don's discomfort with the idea of youth being in charge as he talks with Stephanie, but we should have added Anna's perspective is the opposite; she makes the comment "Young people are going to save us," at that same dinner.
- In the first scene, Joan's conversation with her doctor reveals she's had two previous abortions, but he assures her it's likely she can still get pregnant again.
- When we talked about the scene between Greg and Joan, we should have compared the fact that Greg says "Everything's going to be okay," which is usually Don's signature (empty) line. And it's funny/tragic that Joan's response is "When?"
