Note: We had a technical issue with sound recording in the second half of this episode. Jenna's phrases jumped in early and Steve's were delayed after long pauses. Sterling Script Lines - S4: Episode 1
1) Pete, to Don: Creatively, Y & R is not capable of living in this neighborhood. You know why? Because you don't work there.
2) Peggy, brainstorming about Sugarberry: Two women, fighting over one ham. But they have to really fight - get arrested or something. Joey: Because it's the last ham. Peggy: Well, we don't have to write a play. It's Thanksgiving, they're shopping. The stakes are high. 3) Ham-fighting woman 1: She doesn't know when to stop. You don't know when to stop! Ham-fighting woman 2: My objective is to get the ham. 4) Pete, after Hoho removes the jai alai account just when Harry sold the TV special: Harry, call and pretend like you don't know any of this. Give it an hour so he'll take the call. Harry: I wish we had a second floor so I could jump off of it. 5) Peggy: One of them pressed charges against the other for assault. I need $80 for bail and $100 each to keep their mouths shut, and it has to happen today. Don: Call Pete. Peggy: Do you think you're my first call? 6) Don: You need to think about the image of this agency. Peggy: No one knows about the ham stunt, so our image remains pretty much where you left it. 7) Pauline, to Henry about Betty: She's a silly woman. Honestly, I don't know how you can stand living in that man's dirt. 8) Don: You're too scared of the skin your two-piece was designed to show off. Jantzen Executive: It's somehow dirtier not seeing anything. 9) Henry: Don, it's just temporary. Don: Believe me, Henry, everybody thinks this is temporary. 10) Don, to WSJ reporter: So I walked into Lane Pryce's office, and I said, "Fire us." |
