Sterling Script Lines - S3: Episode 11
1) Sally, about Halloween: I'll always love Minnie Mouse.

2) Annabelle, to Roger: You're married, aren't you? Still, or again?
Roger: You know it's again.

3) Suzanne: I look at your life, and even if I remove myself from the picture, I see a man who is not happy.

4) Joan: The most important thing in an interview is to express enthusiasm in a believable way.
Greg: This isn't a beauty pageant.

5) Betty: It's a lie so big, Milton. I feel like I've been in some dream since I found out. Saying it out loud to you, it's the first time I'm realizing it's true.

6) Roger, to Annabelle: This is not Casablanca. The only similarity is you left me for another man. That woman got on a plane with a man who was going to end World War II, not run her father's dog food business.

7) Annabelle: How could I have missed the window between Mona and her?
Roger: There really wasn't much of a window. Kind of overlapped.

8) Greg, to Joan: You don't know what it's like to want something your whole life. Plan for it, count on it, and not get it.

9) Don, about the focus group: Turn it off.
Peggy: I can't turn it off, it's actually happening.

10) Roger, to Annabelle: You want to know if it was a great time? It was. You want to know if you broke my heart? Obviously.

11) Don: I can explain.
Betty: I know. I know you can. You're a very gifted storyteller.

12) Carlton, at Halloween: Let's see. We've got a gypsy, and a hobo. And who are you supposed to be?

    Which is your favorite line?

Things We Should Have Said

  • We mentioned how Betty says "you lied to me every day." Megan will say this to Don near the end of their relationship, too, and Anna says to Don when they first meet: "Stop lying. You've been caught." All those relationships begin with a lie, but Anna is unique because she sees the lie first and the relationship moves forward on a path of forgiveness and relative honesty. With Betty and Megan, it's only at the end of the relationships that they see how huge the lies have been, and the lies escalate across each of those relationships.
  • Just as we all know Roger and Jane's relationship is unlikely to succeed, we see the same romantic (but futile) hope in Suzanne vis a vis Don.
