2) Don, to Betty, in a letter: I know you won't be alone very long, but without you, I'll be alone forever. 3) Duck, about whether Don is on board with Pete's promotion to Head of Accounts: I don't need his permission, do I? He'll have to. That's why God put non-compete clauses in contracts. 4) Don, to Roger, after returning from California: You wanted to see me? Roger: About three weeks ago. 5) Francine, after arguing in the beauty salon about whether to discuss the news in front of children: It's nice to feel the warmth of the community in a time of crisis. 6) Lois, to the office guys: They want a New York office, and they want it filled with us, but there are definitely going to be some . . . redundancies. 7) Father Gill: Don't you understand? This could be the end of the world, and you could go to hell. Peggy: I just can't believe that's the way God is. 8) Pete: If I'm going to die, I want to die in Manhattan. 9) Duck, to the partners and PP&L about Don: Let him go. It'll take a second to find some kid who can write a prose poem to a potato chip. 10) Peggy: Pete, I could have had you in my life forever if I wanted to. |
